Teachers & Parents
Classifications and Age Recommendations
The Cine Sparks program is designed to give young people a window into the lives of people in other countries and cultures. Films screened at Cine Sparks are usually made by peoples from the cultures they reflect.
As most films have not been classified, Cine Sparks has provided 'Cine Sparks Advice' advice to assist parents and teachers to make informed choices about film selection.
For each title being screened, there is a recommendation consisting of an age recommendation and guidance as to any sensitive issues (such as language or adult themes) in the film. The advice has been determined in accordance with the international festival practice and with the support of educational consultants.
All content advice is provided as a guide only. Parents and teachers are encouraged to contact the festival office or visit the Cine Sparks website www.biff.com.au/cinesparks for more information.
