FILM + Q&A: Looky Looky Here Comes Cooky

Following the screening, join filmmaker Dean Gibson as he sits down with star of Looky Looky Here Comes Cooky Steven Oliver to discuss the documentary’s irreverent and passionate approach to retelling an integral part of Australian history.  Dean Gibson (whose documentary Wik vs. Queensland 2018 screened in BIFF 2018) will contrast a traditional documentary approach with Looky Looky’s playful relooking at Cook’s arrival through indigenous eyes.
