Five Fingers for Marseilles
FeaturesTIX AT VENUE ONLY 04:20pm 120mins Event Cinemas | Brisbane City Myer Centre
Seven years in the making yet shot in five weeks, Five Fingers for Marseilles is an assured and stylish Western set on the rural plains of post-apartheid South Africa.
Simmering with undertones of socio-political commentary, Five Fingers for Marseilles follows the Lion of Marseilles, Tau. Recently released from prison, he returns to his childhood home seeking redemption and the people he left behind. The film boasts some of South Africa’s finest acting talent, including Vuyo Dabula as reluctant gunslinger Tau, Hamilton Dlamini as the insidious one-eyed villain Sepoko, and Warren Masemola as his venomous right-hand man Thuto.
