Two damaged strangers drift into a complicated relationship in Dustin Feneley’s striking debut feature film, set against New Zealand’s Southern Alps in Otago.

A young man is released on parole after serving time for attempting to harm the man who killed his girlfriend in a hit-and-run. A woman is released from a psychiatric facility, the reasons for her incarceration unknown. Abandoned by friends and family, these two enigmatic lives intersect when both seek shelter in the same mountain cabin, oscillating between a desire for connection and the isolation of their suppressed emotions. This beautifully restrained drama draws you into their shared yearning for a life beyond their past.
