Írisz Leiter returns to her hometown of Budapest in an attempt to find the brother from whom she was separated when they were orphaned as children. However, she soon finds that his life is now enveloped in a shadow of violence and dangerous innuendo. Director László Nemes has crafted an enthralling tale of revolution and suspense, in which the threat of impending war and calamity seep through every frame. The film features lavish cinematography and was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2018 Venice Film Festival.
