New In Conversation Events Announced:

Lili – The Conversation continues at the second screening of Lili featuring producer Rebecca McElroy. Based on a true story, Lili is a compelling documentary that uncovers the incredible story behind why a mother abandoned her child amid the chaos of the 1956 Hungarian revolution.

Slam – Director Partho Sen-Gupta will talk through the gripping drama and simmering social tensions in his AACTA nominated new film Slam, where the disappearance of a young Palestinian-Australian in suburban Sydney fuels media speculation about her political motivations.

Sequin in a Blue Room– Join up-and-coming Director Samuel Van Grinsven in a conversation about festival favourite, Sequin in a Blue Room. This gritty queer coming-of-age tale, follows a ruinously handsome 16-year-old as he scrolls from one anonymous hook-up to the next.
