Featuring lovingly restored and never before seen footage, You Should Have Been Here Yesterday is an experiential journey through the birth of Australian surfing and youth culture and features Tim Winton, Wayne Lynch, Bob McTavish, Alby Falzon, Evelyn Rich, Maurice Cole and many more. 

Inspired by Moonage Daydream and Jen Peedom’s Mountain, lost and restored 16mm footage is coupled with reflections and wisdoms and an exceptional soundtrack in You Should Have Been Here Yesterday. This cinematic poem tells the story of a wild community who took off up the coast and discovered a whole new way to live.
